The AIS website also has a really good section on general coaching resources, with fact sheets and sections on topics including Safety and Ethics, High Performance Coaching, Coaching Children. Some of the material is covered in the AIS online Community Coaching General Principles, which is a requirement for all registered SSA coaches, while other parts are handy reading for teachers, parents or even athletes.
This members only section is available only to accredited AUSXC coaches and includes links and articles relevant to cross country ski coaching.
The Clearinghouse is an Australian Sports Commission led information and knowledge sharing initiative. Anyone can sign up as a member, although some services and resources are restricted due to licensing arrangements. Basically it’s a good place to find the latest information and research on a wide range of sport related topics.
