Four athletes have been selected to represent Australia in cross country skiing at the 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lausanne. Zana Evans from Jindabyne, Rosie Fordham and Hugo Hinckfuss from Sydney, and John Mordes from Melbourne have been training and racing with the Australian Team in Europe for since early December, and are set to travel across to Lausanne on January 15.
The WYOG cross country skiing events kick off on January 18 with the XC Cross, followed by the Freestyle Sprint on January 19 and the, 5/10km Classic events on January 21. The event schedule and results when available can be viewed at the Lausanne 2020 website. The athletes are supported in Lausanne by coach Callum Watson, who represented Australia at the Winter Olympics in 2014 and 2018.
