The 2018 Australian Rollerski Championships are set to be held in Canberra on Saturday April 14, once again on the same day as the 2018 AUSXC Awards. New for this year, all competitors in the Open category will compete on the same model of rollerskis, supplied by Swenor, with possibly another brand providing rollerskis for other categories as well.
Rollerski Australia and Swenor are combining forces to supply Swenor Skate rollerskis for all Open competitors to race on. These are one of the leading rollerski models in Norway and around the world. Negotiations are underway with another brand to supply skis for Masters and U16 Junior participants. The Swenor rollerskis will be supplied with either NNN or Salomon (SNS) bindings, and will be for sale after the championship at the special rate of $250/pair.
In order to ensure that we have enough pairs of rollerskis with each sort of bindings, we are asking participants to enter early by Wednesday February 28 and include their preferred choice of bindings. Early entrants will also have the opportunity to reserve a pair of the rollerskis for the post-event sale.
Online registration is now live on the SSA website:
Entries will remain open until midnight on Thursday April 12, with an additional fee of $10 for Adults and $5 for Junior entrants after February 28.
