Catch Up Report – Mark Pollock

After winning two Australian Championships during the Australian season Mark was aiming high as he entered the European racing circuit. His season began well with Mark racing his first World Cup in Davos. “Racing in a World Cup was an incredible experience.” Mark reported after completing the race. “To be racing against the world’s best was amazing.”Image may contain: one or more people, sky, outdoor and nature

Mark’s finish in the Davos World Cup of 93rd out of 96 starters was a very positive result for his first ever World Cup. It takes time to adjust to World Cup racing and the experience gained by Mark will hold him in good stead as he continues to improve his skiing.

Unfortunately Mark season was cut short due to him contracting Glandular fever and he will return to Australia this week. His focus is to regain his health and hopefully be in a position to defend his Australian titles this July and August.

Results Summary

Swiss Cup Sprint F – 39th out of 78
OPA Cup 10km Classic – 59th out of 63
World Cup Sprint F – 93rd out of 96
