Ewan Watson selected for High Performance Coach Experience Program

EwanAUSXC is pleased to announce Ewan Watson as the successful applicant for the Australian Cross Country Ski Team High Performance coaching experience.

Ewan is a former athlete of the Australian Cross Country Ski Team racing at Junior and Senior Nordic World Championships. More recently he has turned his attention to coaching, helping out with the Victorian Cross Country Ski Team, leading the Australian Team at World University Games (2014) and is now the Head Coach of the Nordic Ski Academy based in Melbourne.

Ewan will join the Australian Junior and Senior Team on-snow camp at Falls Creek for 3 days in July. This experience will give him the opportunity to learn from and share ideas with the Cross Country High Performance Manager and National Training Centre Coach along with assisting Australia’s best cross country skiers with technique analysis, lactate testing and intensity training sessions.

Ewan is currently in the process of finishing his SSA Level 2 Cross Country Coaching qualification and is taking classes in sports science.
