West Yellowstone: First races out of the way

After training in Bozeman for another week or two (mainly skiing on the golf course in pretty good conditions) we travelled an hour and a half for my first race (a SuperTour in West Yellowstone) the team travelled to the venue via team vans. We stayed in a hotel there for the week skiing on the awesome trails training and race-prepping.

The trails at West Yellowstone were spectacular. Pine trees everywhere! On some of the colder mornings after snow fall it was extraordinary to see the white powder that fell on the pines be blown into the air by the slightest wind. This created a mystical effect as we skied some of the back trails on one of the slow distance sessions.
