Quitting an addiction

Almost every week in first year med we had it drilled into us how hard it is to get people to change their behaviour, particularly in relation to exercise and nutrition, as each require a bit of self motivation. I’ve also heard it said that any time you try to quit something, the third day is the hardest, and today, the third day here in Seefeld, Austria, I’m definitely having a hard time quitting my addiction to the Australian time zone. Luckily I have some of the most beautiful scenery in the world right outside the front door and a hilarious and incredibly motivated group of people to train with who keep me excited for every session, even if I feel like I should be asleep.
