Victorian Junior Championship Report

The Victorian Junior Championship freestyle distance races were on today at Falls Creek. Local Mt Beauty and Birkebeiner Nordic Ski Club skiers Phillip Bellingham and Anna Trnka were the fastest skiers of the day, winning their age classes and the overall Junior Men 10km and Junior Women 5km events.

Falls Creek Sprint

Perfect weather greeted the unofficial Classic Sprint event held at Falls Creek today. Twenty-nine skiers participated in the 1.2km Time Trial around the Nordic Bowl, including ring-in National Team members Esther Bottomley and Nick Grimmer who recorded the fastest times.

Victorian Junior Champs Update

Victorian Junior Championship races will be held this weekend at Falls Creek. Snowfalls overnight and during the day today have put a continuous cover on many of the trails, and it is anticipated that grooming will begin tomorrow morning.

Cross-Country Skiing Holiday Programs

Birkebeiner Nordic Ski Club and Wangaratta Ski Club are organising the following programs in the second week of the Victorian School Holidays. The programs cater for beginner to advanced cross-country skiers. Places are limited and allocated in order of receipt of payment.
