Memo to Stanislac Rezac: Watch out for Swedes in photo finshes. First it was Jerry Ahrlin in the Konig Ludwig Lauf, and this weekend at the Finlandia hiihto in Lahti it was Oskar Svard who held off a challenge from Stanislav to take the top spot on the podium.

Plenty of Worldloppet action last weekend in Estonia where they celebrated the 40th anniversary of the Tartu Maraton, and in Canada with two days of racing at the Gatineau Loppet.

The weekend of 12/13 February was the first of three Worldloppet weekends with one race in Europe and one somewhere else. This weekend was La Transjurassienne in France, held on a modified 40km course, and 50km Sapporo Ski Marathon.

Happy with the results, went out hard from the start to try to catch Grimmer then worked into the second and third laps and felt good but feel I have even more to go so am looking forward to Oberweisental – Ewan Watson
